Jun 01, 2023In this fascinating conversation, I had the pleasure of speaking with the incredible Renaissance woman, Dorie Clark. Dorie is a speaker, author, writer, Broadway producer, and lyricist, with a diverse and inspiring career journey. We discussed her various pursuits, from her time as a non-profit executive director and spokesperson for political campaigns, to her experience as a newspaper reporter and theology student at Harvard Divinity School. During our discussion, we explored Dorie's journey into entrepreneurship and how she transitioned from the non-profit world to consulting. She shares how she learned to recognize that running a small business was what she was doing, and how she decided to use those skills to launch her own practice. We also delved into her networking strategies for introverts, leveraging unique advantages, and establishing credibility through content and publications.

We discussed the creative process behind the musical, her collaboration with her composer, and the importance of bringing interesting and three-dimensional female characters to life.
