In my podcast from my series Consulting Matters: Mastering the Art & Science of the Business I am going to introduce in a better way to land contract which is through establishing a strategic partnership with a future client. 

When you listen in - you'll discover the three steps to take in order to position yourself as a peer and your consulting against the most significant business issues your future client is dealing with.

In this blog, I explain the three key phases that happens when you establish a strategic partnership with your potential client. First, you need to be on the same page. Through directional agreement, you establish with your partners the gaps in the business and their vision for their business.

I call the next phase, designing options, proposal writing, and air traffic control. This is the phase where you, as the expert, address the gaps and issues objectively and propose to your clients your methods and solutions. 

And lastly, I call it sealing the deal. This is where you come to an agreement on which steps your client wants to take and establish your roles to complete it.  

In securing and closing deals, I really am an advocate of having a strategic partnership with your client as well as establishing credibility as a way to build trust and boost your chances in landing high-paying contracts. Follow these steps to improve not only your closing rates, but your relationship with potential clients. 

Through these three steps, you'll discover that you can win both business AND trust and that is possible to make great money WHILE making a difference.
